New ISO Prize Recognizes Standards Ambassadors

International Organization for Standardization's (ISO) new initiative, the ISO Prize, will be awarded to an individual who has made significant contributions to the understanding or use of ISO standards. The contest is geared toward an younger audience, as entrants must be no older than 45. The winner will receive 20,000 Swiss francs to help finance research or a project.

"There are many standards ambassadors in business, government and academia, people, or rather leaders, who realize the benefits of ISO standards and work hard to encourage their use." says ISO Secretary General Rob Steele. "With this prize and money, we would like to recognize these efforts and encourage future projects."
