MSA Publishes White Paper Explaining Changes to Canadian Standard on Industrial Protective Headwear

Earlier this year, CSA Group approved the standard CSA Z94.1-15, Industrial Protective Headwear--Performance, Selection, Care and Use. The standard applies to head protection for workers in industrial, construction, mining, utility and forestry. MSA has published a white paper explaining the changes to the standard. Updates include establishment of minimum protection areas of the head and elimination of UV resistance requirements pending further research. Download the white paper from MSA's asset library, or preview it online.

While there, you can also learn about MSA's Gold Helmet Award. Designed to promote safety initiatives and the use of head protection, the award can be used to recognize an employee whose life was saved by an MSA helmet or other PPE.
