Find Safety Symbols on ISO's New Browsing Platform

International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has introduced an online browsing platform of over 4,000 ISO graphical symbols, including 138 safety signs and 50 water safety signs.

The platform allows users to browse symbols by type or search for specific symbols using keywords, categories and symbol reference numbers. Symbols can be purchased individually and downloaded in high resolution formats such as EPS and AI. Users can also pay for a yearly subscription that allows access to all symbols in all formats free of charge.

Examples of the safety signs available include:

  • Symbols signaling a need to wear various types of PPE due to environmental hazards.
  • Symbols directing workers to safety equipment and services, such as eyewash stations, exits and evacuation assembly points.
  • Warning signs regarding environmental and workplace hazards.
  • Signs indicating safe and unsafe uses of equipment.
  • Symbols prohibiting activity that may cause safety hazards.
  • Warning signs indicating safe and unsafe recreational activity.
  • Symbols directing the public to safety services such as hospitals, rescue equipment and tsunami evacuation areas.

All symbols are accompanied by a description of their function and information about standards in which they are referenced.
