The symposium is intended to provide a forum to discuss the current state and future of the personal protective clothing and equipment industry. Papers are invited on the following topics:
- collaboration between academic research, manufacturers and government entities to bring improved PPE to the market;
- new/emerging PPE technologies;
- correlating lab test methods with actual field exposures to PPE;
- practical application of ASTM standards in PPE evaluation;
- identifying shortcomings in existing ASTM standards for PPE evaluation.
