The Construction Section of the International Social
Security Association (ISSA-C) has issued a call for abstracts for its International Symposium on Safety and
Health in the Construction Industry, slated to run Oct. 16-18, 2012, in
Boston. Held every 3 years, this year’s symposium topic is Strategies for
Integrating Occupational Safety and Health in the Construction Process:
Research, Innovation, Best Practices. ISSA-C is seeking abstracts for oral and
poster presentations by the deadline of January 15. The conference will focus
on two topics: safety and health in the life-cycle of the construction industry
(preconstruction, construction, post-construction); and safety and health at
work training (learning, aims, efficiency).
