Students looking at careers in SH&E, and current
practitioners seeking to advance their careers have a great opportunity. ASSE Foundation
(ASSEF) will award nearly $170,000 in scholarships and professional education
grants for the 2012 academic year. Applications are due by Dec. 1, 2011. Scholarships
are for students pursuing a safety-related degree, while professional education
grants are for safety professionals working to advance their education or
