Ten European Companies Recognized For Risk Prevention Initiatives


The European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA) recognizes ten companies for their outstanding efforts  in risk prevention. The European Occupational Safety and Health ‘Good Practice Awards’ highlight the best examples of managers and employees working together for risk prevention in any industry. 

Several hundred European companies of all sizes competed for the 11th edition of the Good Practice Awards. The winners were announced Monday, April 29th, during the ‘Small business and workplace safety and health: the challenge; the opportunity’ conference in Dublin. The ceremony gave the organizations an opportunity to swap stories, best practices and ideas with other SH&E professional in hopes of improving develop health and safety policies for the future'

 ‘We would like to show that ideas and concepts developed by the winners of the Good Practice Award can be adapted across different industries and Member States and in organizations of different types and sizes’, stressed László Andor, Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion. ‘Taking stock of innovative solutions and best practices in Europe should also help us in the effort to  further develop health and safety policies for the future'.

During the event EU-OSHA also commended a further ten companies. A new booklet has been published to showcase their good practice initiatives.
