EngineerGirl! Essay Contest

National Academy of Engineering (NAE) has announced its EngineerGirl! 12^th annual essay contest. The contest asks students to write about the role of engineering in providing safe, nutritious food. Participation is open to all students in grades 3 through 12, and submissions are due March 1, 2012. The site is designed to encourage young people, particularly girls, to consider careers in engineering. It provides career descriptions, profiles of successful women engineers and interactive tools for students, parents, teachers and counselors.
