Healthcare workers are experiencing an increasing
number of injuries, according to recent BLS data. However, because these
organizations focus on patient safety, according to Lockton Companies LLC, they
can reduce employee injuries by including employee safety in those programs. In
its new report, “Ten
Steps to Enhance Healthcare Employees’ Safety,” the firm suggests ways that
healthcare organizations can do just that.
“If your organization can make a serious commitment to
implementing these 10 steps,” says Lockton’s Lori Severson, author of the
report, “you will see a significant improvement in employee safety, patient
safety and even employee morale.”
