EHS Today Names America’s Safest Companies

Twelve companies have been named to EHS Today’s 2011 list of America’s Safest Companies. “Together, these companies provide a safe working environment for thousands of employees and serve as a point of reference for companies hoping to achieve world-class safety status,” the magazine says.

The companies are:
  • ACCO Brands Corp.
  • Buffalo Gap Instrumentation & Electrical Co. Inc.
  • Caterpillar Inc.
  • EnPro Industries
  • EuroKera North America
  • Fluor Corp.
  • Gribbins Insulation Co. Inc.
  • Honeywell Federal Manufacturing and Technologies LLC
  • Kennametal Inc.
  • Nalco Co.
  • Richard Goettle Inc.
  • Savage Services
According to the publisher, the selected companies focused on leading indicators, such as achievement metrics and predictive analytics, rather than trailing indicators, such as DART rates, when discussing the strength of their safety process.
