Three young professionals, at the start of their electrotechnology careers, will be selected to represent the U.S. at the Young Professionals 2012 Workshop, held in conjunction with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 2012 General Meeting, scheduled for Oct. 1-5, 2012, in Oslo, Norway. The U.S. National Committee to IEC is accepting nominations until April 30, 2012.
The workshop will be attended by candidates selected from IEC national committees from around the world, all of whom are at the start of their careers in electrotechnology standardization and conformity assessment. ANSI reports the program "aims to cultivate long-term national involvement in the international arena, strengthen the future of technology transfer and encourage the participation of young professionals in shaping the future of standardization and conformance.
