ICC Supports Code Training Program for High School Students
International Code Council (ICC) is supporting code training for high school students, which teaches the importance of building codes when constructing safety and sustainable structures. The High School Technical Training Program began at the Harford Technical High School in Bel Air, MD, and ICC is adopting it with the hopes that more technical and vocational high schools will offer similar programs to students. According to ICC, curriculum covers building, electrical, plumbing and mechanical fields, and program graduates will be able to earn an ICC certificate of achievement.
