New Meth Monitoring Methods for Law Enforcement

Three newly approved sampling and analytical methods (9106, 9109, 9111) for the determination of methamphetamines on surfaces have been posted on the NIOSH Manual of Analytical Methods. According to NIOSH, law enforcement officers can employ these methods to detect the presence of surface methamphetamine contamination in suspected clandestine meth lab sites and may also be used to assess whether such areas are safe for human reoccupation.
