January is
National Radon Action Month, and to help spread the word about the dangers of radon, EPA's Henry Slack wrote a recent post on
EPA's Greenservations blog. "Radon is hidden and dangerous," Slack says. "We can't see or smell it. The only way to know it's around is to test for it." He encourages the public to
test their homes and to fix the problem, if there is one. The public can also visit
EPA's website to find local and state resources about radon and how to test for it.
