NTSB Releases First of Five General Aviation Video Safety Alerts

On Tuesday, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) released the first of five short videos, to highlight areas of general aviation safety associated with the majority of GA incidents.

NTSB investigates roughly 1,500 general aviation incidents every year and in March, the Board issued five Safety Alerts bulletins to address circumstances, conditions and decision-making processes that have been linked to a majority of crashes.

The Video Safety Alert series, created by NTSB, will tackle risk management, decision-making, maintenance issues for pilots and mechanics, flight in reduced-visibility conditions, and low-altitude stalls through the perspective of NTSB investigators.

The videos, along with the Safety Alerts, aim to highlight these areas and provide strategies and resources to better identify and reduce risk in the industry.

The first of the videos, "Is Your Aircraft Talking to You? Listen!" is now available, and the remaining videos will be will be released throughout the month.
