The symposium will feature four panelists, each of whom will deliver a 20- to 25-minute presentation based on his/her paper, which should address ways to improve occupational safety and health in the supply chain (e.g., case studies, new approaches, employee and factory owner training, managing and auditing suppliers, government policy). The symposium's working language will be English.
Those interested in being a panelist must submit an abstract online by Nov. 30, 2013. Selected participants will be informed by March 31, 2014.
The conference will include plenary sessions, symposia, poster presentations, industrial visits, trade fair and the International Media Festival for Prevention centered around the theme “Sharing a Vision for Sustainable Prevention." The event is organized by International Labour Organization, International Social Security Association and German Social Accident Insurance. Held every 3 years, the World Congress is the world's largest event for the international occupational safety and health community.
