April 28 marks Workers’ Memorial Day, which honors the lives
of those who have been injured or killed on the job. In the U.S., 12 workers die
on the job every day. “This is intolerable,” says OSHA assistant secretary of labor
David Michaels. “On this solemn occasion, we urge everyone to raise their
voices in support of workers’ rights and to remember those who have paid the
ultimate price of unsafe working conditions. Making a living shouldn’t include
dying.” For more information, click
