Live From Safety 2014: ASSE Delegates Focus on the Society's Key Strengths

ASSE delegates are engaging in a brainstorming session today at Safety 2014 to identify ASSE's key strengths as well as opportunities those strengths present to the organization. The exercise was based on one found in Road to Relevance by Harrison Coerever and Mary Byers. Through the exercise, ASSE gathered member input to help the organization better identify what members perceive as strengths that deserve the most resources.

According to Coerver and Byers, this is one strategy that can help associations thrive in an increasingly competitive marketplace. Last year, delegates identified three high-impact trends: how technology is changing workplace communications; sustainability and health/wellness are increasingly important to corporations; and shifting workforce demographics, particularly aging employees.
