To help celebrate its 100th anniversary, U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) created an initiative geared toward literature and the workforce. Partnering with Center for the Book in the Library of Congress, the
Books That Shaped Work in America project aims to "spark a national conversation about the impact of books on overall American life and culture."
DOL asked a
diverse group of individuals to get the list started, including former secretaries of labor, author
Daniel Pink, Secretary of Labor
Thomas Perez and other DOL employees.
