NIOSH Releases Fact Sheets for Young Drivers

Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of work-related death among workers between the ages of 16 and 24. To address this concern, the NIOSH Center for Motor Vehicle Safety developed two new fact sheets to help keep young drivers safe on the job. These fact sheets outline risk factors for young drivers, present case reports and learning points and offer recommendations for young drivers, parents, and employers. Information on federal and state laws and additional resources are also provided.
