The
Occupational Health
Internship Program (OHIP) is a NIOSH-funded national summer internship
program designed to help students learn more about the occupational safety and
health (OSH) field. Through this field-based learning experience, students work
with labor unions and community-based organizations on OSH issues. Interns have
the opportunity to interview and observe workers to better understand the
complexity of the work environment from the workers’ perspective, and explore
safety and health concerns raised by workers.
