Report Grades State Highway Safety Laws
Advocates
for Highway and Auto Safety has published its 2012 Roadmap to State Highway
Safety Laws, an annual report that evaluates U.S. states based on their
adoption of 15 basic traffic safety laws. The report gives states a green,
yellow or red rating based on how many of the 15 optimal laws they have. Among
the laws evaluated: seatbelt, booster seat
and motorcycle helmet measures; restrictions for teen drivers; texting
bans; and strict impaired driving laws.
