January is National Radon Action Month

According to EPA, 21,000 people die from radon-related lung cancer each year in the U.S. In recognition of National Radon Action Month, EPA's three-step plan (Test, Fix, Save a Life) hopes to improve indoor air quality and increase awareness of the environmental health risks caused by radon gas.
1) Test your home for radon with either a do-it-yourself radon test kit or hire a qualified person to test the levels.
2) Fix radon levels if they are high.
3) Save a life by testing and fixing radon levels in the home.
Visit EPA's website for more information on the steps, how to obtain a test kit or to contact your state radon office.
