OSHA’s Injury and Illness Prevention Programs

OSHA is working on a rule that will require Injury and Illness Prevention Programs (I2P2) in the workplace. This rule will allow employers to find and fix their own workplace safety and health hazards, hoping to enhance workers’ voices and participation in the process. OSHA will be gathering feedback from businesses to aid in the rulemaking and believes that this program can be used in a wide spectrum of workplaces to dramatically reduce the number and severity of workplace injuries.
